The beautiful 80 m² country home was built by emigrants who returned from Cuba in the last century, after having made their fortune there. With a magnificent view of just the ocean and the volcanoes with their vineyards, it is situated on a steep hillside in Los Quemados. For the very careful restoration within the pilot project “Turismo Rural” for sustainable tourism, the original Cuban wall colours were used and ornaments on the wood-beamed ceilings were carved out. Beautiful details from the old days such as the wooden shutters and benches inside the windows were retained. The house has two bedrooms, a large living room with sofa bed (1.80 x 1.30 m) and dining table, a well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with bathtub. It has many doors leading directly to the outside and is nicely furnished with some modern furniture, and decorated with heavy old chests. A stereo system, satellite TV and DVD player as well as free WiFi are available. The broad terrace, with a barbecue area, is partly covered. In the large vegetable garden, a wonderful old wood-fired oven is well maintained and can be used for making bread.
